Otto Graham Gymnasium and Activity Center

Waterford Country School is engaged in a gymnasium and activity center building project in honor of the late Otto Graham, one of the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks with the Cleveland Browns, football coach, Athletic Director of the Coast Guard Academy, and above all, an invaluable supporter of Waterford Country School. 

The new gymnasium designed by the New London firm Lindsay, Liebig, Roche AIA contains approximately 14,500 square feet. The gymnasium features a full size basketball court with retractable backboards, half court basketball courts with backboards and an elevated stage at one end, an exercise room with strength conditioning equipment, boy’s and girl’s bathrooms with lockers,  seating area on the side court with retractable bleachers, entry/lobby area, athletic/recreation office and storage spaces. Also to be included is a community room with direct outside access that will host meetings and training sessions of up to 100 people, as well as serving as a multipurpose room for school activities. The large entryway is designed as a gathering place and will have Otto Graham displays and memorabilia.
